"Oro del Desierto" Olive Oil
http://bustamante.seBustamante Promotions go to Tabernas, Almería to visit Rafa and Don Rafael, the producers of one of the world's finest organic olive oils.Oro del Desierto is an extra virgin ol...

Caramba! Olive Oil stocks artisan olive oil and balsamic vinegar which is a healthier choice to dress your salads and vegetables or to add flavour to your fish and meats. With their great packaging they are  ideal for your
food  hampers, gifts or as a treat for you!

I started the business because these products are made with great care and quality is important to these producers, but they can't sell these wonderful products to the big supermarkets. I though the British consumer should be able to enjoy these lovely products and I know about their provenance and quality. That's what I do! I talk to the customers, they can taste everything we offer and judge for themselves before buying. The taste speaks for itself and the packaging also is in eco-friendly reusable bottles which means that we're looking after the environment in every way we can.

Our Caramba Balsamic is aged at least 6 years in barrels and looked after by Paolo in his "acetaia" in Modena. This artisan balsamic is thick and syrupy because the temperatures in the loft are allowed to increase and decrease with the seasons. This means that each batch has a unique flavour but this is the beauty of it !

By consuming Oro Del Desierto's artisan extra virgin olive oil not only will you enjoy its wonderfully smooth taste and its renowned health benefits; you are also contributing to a sustainable environment because it is organic, Rafael uses all the waste by products from Olive Oil production and saves water by irrigating underground. Here is a video that shows you exactly where our Oro del Desierto olive oil comes from and how it's made. A sign of a quality olive oil is the way it's produced. Rafael in Almeria picks the olives straight from the tree in early November to ensure that they are whole and without cuts which would oxidise and cause the flavour of the olive oil to become bitter. Rafael has his own mill too, which means that, the olives can be pressed and bottled within 7 hours of harvesting. This means that you  get a fresher tasting olive oil.
